Russell specialises in project management and cost consultancy of private commercial works primarily in the office, industrial, retail and residential sectors and oversees major projects.

Steve Doughty

Steve is a board director; a chartered cost consultant with over 35 years’ experience in construction and development. Steve specialises in cost consultancy of private commercial schemes primarily in the office, retail and residential sector. He oversees complex and major projects as well as maintaining a constant presence in the project team.

Daniel Gillespie

Dan is a board director; a chartered building surveyor by trade with over 18 years’ experience in the industry. After becoming chartered, Dan progressed into project and commercial management and now works on a variety of complex, multi-stakeholder projects. These range from masterplan city redevelopments to industrial new builds. He specialises in stakeholder management and implementation of development strategy.

Paddy Donaghy

Paddy is one of the board directors; a project manager with extensive experience delivering services to clients in the commercial and residential property sectors. Paddy specialises in the refurbishment and repositioning of existing buildings to create high grade offices ready for marketing and letting.

Babak Erfani

Babak is a board director; a chartered cost consultant with over 15 years’ experience within the residential, commercial, education, office, hotel and student sectors. Babak started his career as a cost consultant for a major contractor working his way to a senior cost consultant. Utilising his contractor experience and knowledge, Babak has provided significant value to the Quartz team during the procurement, delivery and close-out of projects.

Bill Arnold

Bill is a board director; a chartered surveyor and project manager with over 28 years’ experience delivering projects for clients across multiple sectors. Bill continues to direct some of our biggest projects whilst driving the growing success of the company. He specialises in project and development management of private commercial sector projects primarily in the residential, office, mixed-use, hotel and retail sectors.

Steve Ahern

Steve is a company director; a chartered cost consultant with over 30 years’ experience within the residential, commercial, hotel, retail, mixed use and urban regeneration sectors. Steve is actively involved in following the alternatives investment sector enabling Quartz to be a leading provider of project manager and cost consultancy services based on delivery of schemes to date valuing over £290m in this sector.

Paraic Whyte

Paraic is a company director in our Irish business, a chartered project manager, with over 15 years' experience within residential, commercial, and industrial sectors and has gained experience working in the United Kingdom, Australia, and Ireland.

Adam Richardson

Adam is a company director, a chartered cost consultant based in our Manchester office. Adam's experience ranges across all sectors of residential and mixed-use schemes.

Ben is a project director, a chartered cost consultant with over 14 years’ experience predominantly within the commercial office sector, with further experience in the residential, industrial and infrastructure sectors.

Riccardo Rizzi

Riccardo is a project director and has more than 20 years’ experience advising clients as diverse as Derwent London, Crosstree Real Estate Partners, Harrods, Starbucks and Ford, providing attention to detail and financial precision whilst combing client facing skills and strategic vision.

Alex is Chartered Project Manager with over 8 years’ experience in Construction and Consultancy. Alex specialises in Project Management across a number of sectors, namely logistics distribution centres, hotel and leisure and more recently student residencies.

Richard Steward

Richard Stewart is a project director, a Chartered Cost Consultant with over 20 years’ experience in Construction and Development. Richard’s experience as a project director spans commercial, residential, science, higher education, museum’s, heritage, logistics and distribution.  

Marina Ranger

Marina has been in the Business Operations field for 9 years and has worked across a variety of industries including property, events and communications. Her experience lies in improving efficiencies and productivity to drive business' forward. She has completed and passed her Level 5 HR Diploma last year, meaning she is now a member of the CIPD body at Associate level.

Emily Peters

Emily is the company’s Finance and Operations Manager, with a first class Economics degree and a passion for business, she has been in charge of all things finance at Quartz.

Simon Brereton

Simon is a senior, Chartered Cost Consultant and Project Manager based in our Manchester office. Simon has over 30 years extensive experience within the residential sector including student, PRS, senior living and high-end residential including refurbishment and conversion of existing and listed buildings. Simon also has vast experience working within the hotel, FMCG’s and healthcare sectors and has worked on a variety of projects throughout the UK.

Brian Barrett

Brian has over 38 years’ experience in the positions of Project Manager/Employer’s Agent, Fund Monitor and Cost Consultant in both the public and private sectors delivering industrial, commercial, leisure, retail and residential projects.

Archie Bagnall

Archie has worked within the property industry for over 16 years, he has experience within the commercial, residential, and private office sectors.

Graham Moran

Graham is a chartered building surveyor with over 15 years’ experience working in the education, health, industrial & logistics, office, residential and retail sectors for both private and public sector clients.  He has breadth of experience in commercial and residential building surveying with a particular interest in the provision of contract administration, project management, dilapidations and neighbourly matters. Graham is our head of building surveying and also a full member of the Faculty of Party Wall Surveyors.

Ony Nwimo

Ony is a Chartered Building Surveyor who has worked in a number of sectors including commercial, retail, leisure, defence, education and residential. As a result driven individual, he achieved a first class honours degree in Building Surveying.

James Atkinson

James is a Chartered Building Surveyor with over 5 years’ experience within the commercial, logistical and education sectors, undertaking technical due diligence, dilapidations, monitoring and contract administration roles.

Katie Nordgreen

Katie is a Chartered Project Manager with 8 years experience across residential, commercial & industrial sectors working for private and public sector clients. Katie is experienced in evaluating development opportunities at the site acquisition stage and managing the delivery of client requirements as these evolve through the project’s life cycle.

George Barton

George is a Cost Consultant with over five years’ experience. She has worked across construction sectors including office fit-out, high end private residential, health and education sectors.

Lee is a Chartered MRICS Project Manager with over 8 years’ experience within the construction industry delivering a variety of different projects for large multinational clients. Lee specialises in Project Management having completed a MSc and APMP qualifications.

Gizem is a recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Management with Marketing. She has some intern experience in digital marketing through channels like search engines, websites, social media and email. She is in the core of all marketing activities in Quartz.

Phoebe is an Assistant Project Manager who works closely with her PM team in delivering a number of complex office refurbishment projects around London.

Sam is a Chartered Project Manager with over 10 years’ experience in the property development industry. Sam has a background in both client-side consultancy and main contracting.

Josh is a recent graduate and has now started his Cost Consultancy career as an Assistant Cost Consultant with Quartz. Before starting as a Cost Consultant he gained 7 years’ experience working as a Groundworker for a few small sub-contractors.

Sasha is an Assistant Cost Consultant who works closely with the QS team delivering high end retirement villages, as well as assisting on residential schemes.

Kevin Murphy

Kevin is a Chartered Cost Consultant with experience across various sectors including stadia/arenas, museums, residential, commercial and industrial, both in the UK and abroad.

Philip Attrill

Philip has over 40 years’ experience providing Cost Consultancy and Employer’s Agent services to clients across all construction sectors on a wide range of new build, redevelopment and refurbishment projects, from conception and feasibility, through to final account agreement.

John Maugham

John is a Project Manager, with 10 years’ experience in the Retail Sector. John Started in Retail Implementation and then moved on to PM Delivery, concentrating on Retail Fit Out. This included New Sites, Relocations, Relocations, closures and Ad Hoc Programme Management.

David is a Chartered Cost Consultant with over 30 years’ experience in Construction and Development. David specialises in the private residential and hotel sectors, as well as large scale manufacturing units and commercial and retail developments. He is accustomed to working on small to large scale projects, working closely with the client and design team to ensure a successful outcome.

Patrick Hanlon

Patrick is a Project Manager and RICS Chartered Building Surveyor. He has a range of experience working with both public and private sector clients on a range of building types. He takes pride in all his projects and places great emphasis on good communication and teamwork to ensure his projects finish on time, on budget and to the client’s desired quality of finish.

Clay is a Project Manager with broad experience in Commercial Office Fit Out, Residential, Higher Education & Lab, as well as Public Park. Clay’s project experience, excellent communication skills, and passion for the industry contribute to his strong ability to deliver projects and meet the expectations of his clients.

Tom is a Quantity Surveyor with 8 years’ experience predominantly within the residential and commercial sectors. Tom has been involved in a number of key projects ranging from mixed use to more specialist works at the Bank of England and has experience in both QS and EA roles.

Sam is a Project Manager with previous roles within Cost Consultancy and Project Monitoring. Working across the residential, hotel and mixed use sectors, he has experience of delivering a range of complex projects by maintaining good communication and teamwork within the project team.

James Stack

James is a Project Manager with 18 years’ experience in the construction and property industry, with the last 10 years in a client-side PM role, and background in main contracting. He has a practical and collaborative approach and extensive international project delivery experience in various sectors, including high end hotel and leisure developments.

Oliver Bass

Oliver is a chartered cost consultant with 8 years experience working across multiple sectors. For the last 2.5 years Oliver has been working predominantly on public sector projects focusing on net zero / passivhaus affordable housing and healthcare facilities for the NHS providing cost consulting and employer’s agent roles.

Oliver is a MRICS qualified building surveyor, working as a project manager with multiple years’ experience over various sectors within the built environment. Oliver started his career as a project manager for a major, international consultancy working his way to associate level providing project management, employer’s agent and contract administrator services.
