Kingston Park South Peterborough

Three new commercial warehouses at Kingston Park, South Peterborough will provide units of 475,000 sqft for manufacturing and distribution. It is designed to boost investment within the region, alongside new employment opportunities for the local community. Peterborough is a complex landlocked site with a complex planning history, having been granted Outline Planning in 1993. The site is an original quarry for brick manufacture by the London Brick Company. The quarry was closed and the old pits backfilled with Pulverised Fuel Ash (PFA) back in the 60’s. This is a challenging site for construction activity and will require over 4000 driven piles. Existing logistics facilities occupied by Amazon and Debenhams sit to the north, the main line Kings Cross to Edinburgh railway line to the west and Hamptons Country Park to the south. The client’s aspiration is to achieve BREEAM Excellent rating and Net Zero Construction aligned with the UK Green Building Council methodology.
